This activity is great for starting a new school year! Lining up has never been so much fun! These 20 cards are a great way to get your students thinking while lining up. Plus, it allows class members to learn something new about each other. Print, cut, and glue the cards onto cardstock. Laminate the cards, cut, and either place in a container to draw out a card or hole punch the cards onto a ring. Whichever works best for you!
Now you are all set! Just pull a card out of a container or flip to a card on a ring, and read it aloud. I try to use one or two of these cards a day. After each card is read out loud, use one of my suggested variations for having students share their answers to line up.
Also included are "Writing Cards" that go along with the "Lining Up Activity Cards." You may choose to use or not to use these supplemental cards to further integrate this activity into your daily lessons.
