Use angle and line relationships to explain how the angles of a triangle equal 180 degrees. This PowerPoint walks students through a problem solving activity using parallel lines intersected by a transversal. To complete this activity, students should be introduced to or familiar with these terms: parallel lines, transversal, supplementary angles, and alternate interior angles.
When viewed a PowerPoint show the box on the left is blank so students can share ideas and write them on a digital board. On a click the explanations will appear one at a time.
I use this with my 8th grade math class the last two years. It challenged them to think and apply the concepts of line and angle relationships and gave them a better understanding of these geometry concepts.
