This domino activity covers the concept of linear change versus exponential change. The 12 problems include analyzing the type of change in a table, analyzing the type of change based on a given scenario, and writing now-next rules. Each student or group (based on teacher discretion) gets a set of dominoes. Students need to find the one that says start and work that problem. Then, they have to match the problem with the correct answer. That “answer” domino contains the next problem, which then matches with its answer. There are a total of 12 dominoes in all. To check that students have completed the activity successfully, the teacher uses the original copy to see that it all matches correctly.
