This activity is an organized way for students to translate between various representations of a linear function (COMMON CORE F8.2; F8.3 and ALGEBRA 1 Standards). The idea plays on the outline web used to plan a five paragraph essay. This POWERPOINT goes along with the Linear Equations Web activity also listed. Both can be used exclusively. I use this PowerPoint to discuss the students results. It is animated and very engaging. The students have an opportunity to reflect and expand on their knowledge of LINEAR EQUATIONS and their GRAPHS. It also works well on the SmartBoard.
Topics covered: linear graphing, slope-intercept form, standard form, slope, y-intercepts, tables, and verbal descriptions
