This Linear Functions: MATH BOARD GAME is a fun way to review linear functions at the end of a unit! The game includes: the board game printable, 45 unique cards for students to work through, game pieces, and answer key. 1 die is needed for each board game and is not included.
Students can play individually or in teams (I like teams of 2 with 4 students per board game).

Skills Used:
-Use function notation and evaluate “a” when f(a)=k and when f(k)=a, given a function
-Use function notation to interpret graphs
-Identify slope from two points, table, or graph
-Identify the x-intercept and y-intercept from an equation or table
-Write linear equations of given graphs, tables, or two points

Common Core Standards:
CCSS.MATH.HSA.CED.A.2 Create linear equations in two or more variables to represent relationships between quantities; graph equations on coordinate axes with labels and scales.
CCSS.MATH.HSF.IF.A.2 Use function notation, evaluate functions for inputs in their domains, and interpret statements that use function notation in terms of a context.
CCSS.MATH.HSF.IF.B.4 For a function that models a relationship between two quantities, interpret key features of graphs and tables in terms of the quantities, and sketch graphs showing key features given a verbal description of the relationship. Key features include: intercepts; intervals where the function is increasing, decreasing, positive, or negative; relative maximums and minimums; symmetries.
CCSS.MATH.HSF.IF.B.6 Calculate and interpret the average rate of change of a function (presented symbolically or as a table) over a specified interval. Estimate the rate of change from a graph.
CCSS.MATH.HSF.IF.C.7.A Graph linear functions and show intercepts, maxima, and minima.
CCSS.MATH.HSF.IF.C.8 Write a function defined by an expression in different but equivalent forms to reveal and explain different properties of the function.
