Is It Linear? This is a cut and paste sorting activity to help Algebra students decide if a relation is linear or not.
The students cut out the 21 relations and glue onto the paper under the correct column: linear or not linear. The activity could then be folded or cut in half and glued into an interactive notebook. OR you can laminate the pieces and just reuse the activity over and over. Relations covered include equations (12), tables (4), graphs (4) and one set of ordered pairs. Key included. 3 pages.
This resource is recommended to be preceded by the Is It Linear? PowerPoint Activity
and then followed up with the Is It Linear? Practice
page. These three resources make a complete lesson covering the concept of "Is It Linear?".
