This is two of my best downloads in one place for a reduced price! Want help with teaching one of the most frustrating topics on all of Algebra? There are so many steps and it relies on students remembering so much previously-learned content that it can be a headache to teach, but not anymore! Here are the descriptions of the TWO notes packets you receive with this download:
GRAPHING LINEAR INEQUALITIES:
Graphing linear inequalities can be a frustrating concept to teach to students because it relies on their understanding of so many concepts and they have to be able to follow several steps! I created a notes packet that has worked well for my students, even in the regular classroom and with special education students! The lesson is scaffolded in a way that allows students to piece together the ideas they have already learned to help them to understand the steps to graphing a linear inequality.
This lesson includes:
--The definition of a linear inequality
--How to tell if a coordinate is a solution to an inequality or not
--Solving a linear inequality for y
--The steps for graphing linear inequalities in two variables
--How to graph linear inequalities with one variable on the coordinate plane.
This lesson is ready to go with the answer key--all you have to do is download and print!
My students have said "This is SO easy!" about graphing linear inequalities--something I never thought I would ever hear! This lesson includes notes, examples, and try-it-yourself problems.
SOLVING SYSTEMS OF LINEAR INEQUALITIES:
If you have ever been frustrated trying to teach solving systems of linear inequalities by graphing, you are not alone! I created this scaffolded lesson to help both teachers and students! It will make your life so much easier--and it is ready with an answer key, so all you have to do is download and print and you are ready to use it!
This lesson includes:
--Review on graphing linear inequalities
--Definition of a system of linear inequalities
--Steps for solving a system of linear inequalities by graphing
My students have said "This is too easy, Mrs. Doering!" about solving systems of linear inequalities! I never thought I would see the day! You can have an easier time teaching this content with this scaffolded lesson designed to help students jump into this content without being overwhelmed by all of the steps all at one time.
