This video lesson is perfect for distance learning, hybrid learning, sub plans, class activities, math centers, remedial help, flipping your class, and more!

This lesson will teach your students how to choose an appropriate method to solve linear system with three variables. In particular, your students will be able to...

  • Determine the solution of a linear system with x, y and z variables
  • Choose appropriate methods to solve a system with three variables
  • Determine in what coordinates 3-D objects should be graphed when two-dimensional objects are graphed in a coordinate plane.

You receive not only the instructional video but accompanying notes for students to complete as they watch the lesson. Answer key is also included.

This means you can easily hold your students accountable, increase their retention and understanding, and provide them a great resource for review.

Perfect for in-class demonstration, remedial help, sub plans, or for flipping your class.ย

Upon purchase, you will immediately receive the student notes as well as access to stream the full video lesson from Teachers pay Teachers. You will also receive a link to download the video so that you can give your students access to watch it at home.

Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables algebraically, and estimate solutions by graphing the equations. Solve simple cases by inspection. For example, 3๐˜น + 2๐˜บ = 5 and 3๐˜น + 2๐˜บ = 6 have no solution because 3๐˜น + 2๐˜บ cannot simultaneously be 5 and 6.
Explain why the ๐˜น-coordinates of the points where the graphs of the equations ๐˜บ = ๐˜ง(๐˜น) and ๐˜บ = ๐‘”(๐˜น) intersect are the solutions of the equation ๐˜ง(๐˜น) = ๐‘”(๐˜น); find the solutions approximately, e.g., using technology to graph the functions, make tables of values, or find successive approximations. Include cases where ๐˜ง(๐˜น) and/or ๐‘”(๐˜น) are linear, polynomial, rational, absolute value, exponential, and logarithmic functions.
