This is a one-page discovery activity in chart format over the similarities between Linear and Quadratic Transformations
The student uses a graphing calculator, types in the examples and compares and contrasts transformations of the linear parent function to the quadratic parent function. Transformations include shifting up, down, flipping over the x-axis and multiplying the x or x^2 by a number larger than one and in between 0 and 1. They fill in their conclusions in the middle section of the chart. Key included.
