Task-Based Learning gets students intrinsically motivated to learn math! No longer do you need to do a song and dance to get kids interested and excited about learning. The tasks included in this unit, followed by solidifying notes and practice activities, will guarantee that students understand the concepts. This unit will effectively teach how to graph and write linear and exponential functions, as outlined in the Common Core. This unit also provides plenty of problem-solving related to linear vs. exponential growth.
Included in this download:
*All Developing Tasks and Solidifying Notes
*Practice Activities: Instructions and Materials
*Homework and Assessments
*All Keys and Rubrics along with Detailed Teacher Notes
This unit was designed for a Secondary One (or High School Mathematics Course 1) 9th grade class. It also works well for an Algebra 2 course.
This unit works very well on its own, but my unit on Sequences as Functions
prepares students very effectively for this Linear vs. Exponential Unit.
