This is a worksheet to use with my music video "Matt's Line Ain't Right" from my YouTube channel "mrsteffessongs". This can be assigned as homework or extra credit and would be a great review for an Algebra class. Answer key is included.
Students must first fill in the blank with vocabulary words from the song including the definition of slope and slope-intercept form. Then there are four sections of exercises or examples, depending whether it is used as an introduction (8th grade) or as a review.(Algebra). The first section requires graphing a rate from three real-world contexts, writing the equation, and finding the slope. The second section requires finding and comparing the rate of change in a table, equation, and graph. The third section requires creating slope triangles to compare slope between different points on a line. The last section requires writing the equations of three graphs of lines that are given.
