Make reviewing math concepts fun and engaging for your students using the Amazing Math Race Series!

This is a great review lesson for lines and angles, and should take your students 35-45 minutes, depending on their ability. This lesson is set up for students to review geometric vocabulary, naming lines and angles, measuring angles, and creating angles. Students will “visit” four National Parks: Everglades, Isle Royale, Theodore Roosevelt, and Rocky Mountain. Students may complete the activity on their own or in a small group.

At each National Park students will complete a series of math problems and a physical task. Once students finish the problems for the first park, they check in with me and I initial that they have accurately completed the problems. Then, they complete the task for that park. After the task is complete, they move onto the next park and repeat the process. Once they have complete all the parks, they finish The Amazing Math Race by taking two (very careful) laps around the class room. This activity is set up to review the concepts, but to also get the kids moving.

Included in the download is both color and B&W printing options and an answer key.

This lesson is best for 4th grade, but can be used as an extension activity for 3rd grade and a review for 5th grade.
