This project spanned the chapter on lines for an algebra class. Students survey others with two numerical questions. Results are plotted, a line is estimated, regression is calculated. The set-up of the project is framed by scholarly articles and students are guided through the writing of an introduction, methods, results, and conclusion paragraph. Teacher instructions, resources, and CCSS standards addressed are included. In addition, this is easy to adapt to include different types of regression and more difficult statistics (center, spread, etc.), depending on the students' knowledge and the class.
Duration is noted at 3 weeks. This is meant to be used in conjunction with teaching lines, graphing, and regression. It applies concepts learned within the chapter.
