Saroo Brierley's memoir Lion (previously published as A Long Way Home: A Memoir) is a captivating true story your students will love! This bundle gives you 8 different hands-on lessons to teach with the book, and each lesson is added to an interactive novel folder. Most lessons include both a class or group activity and an individual activity for the folder. The Lion novel folder directly teaches many Common Core ELA standards and can be used for a range of grade levels and ability levels.

A "novel folder" is a mini-version of an interactive notebook, using a simple manilla file folder. Students add each piece to the folder as they complete it, creating a study tool that compiles their learning for the unit.
A Power Point presentation makes it easy to teach each lesson with little to no prep work! Teaching notes for each activity, including grading suggestions and recommendations for both struggling and advanced learners, and an answer key are also provided.
Note: Page numbers for the "Movie Tie-In Edition" (ISBN 978-0-399-58469-5) are included for some activities. If using a different edition, you may want to change the page numbers to fit your edition, or delete the page numbers and just use chapter numbers.
