The interactive March mobile will look adorable hanging in your room! Short on space and/or time, have students create the March accordion fold book.
This activity proved to be an awesome introduction on how to take notes and prepare for a research report. As a class, we read several articles on lions and lambs and extracted the information most pertinent to our topic. We took notes from the resources we found and recorded that information onto the appropriate craftivity graphic organizer. We completed our mobiles, comparing and contrasting lions to lambs and then completed the mini report templates provided for both animals.
Students will complete two craftivities for the mobile: a lion to show how the month of March comes in and a lamb to show how the month goes out. The activities in the mobile have been differentiated to meet the needs of differing students. Simple coloring options have been provided for little learners.
Interactive pages for the mobile and accordion fold book are printed and student ready. In addition, graphic organizers and mini report templates are included for both the lion and the lamb.
For both projects, students will research facts for a lion and a lamb. This information is recorded as a page in their accordion book or on the back of the lion or lamb craft. Students will use this information to explain the meaning behind the phrase "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb".
Directions and photographs are included for completing the mobile and accordion fold book as well as all templates, patterns, and printables.
Please check out the preview for a closer look at some of the activities.
