We are always telling our learners to participate more by speaking up in class discussion. However, we rarely tell them why this is so important: so that we can build a collaborative learning space where we build on each other's ideas.
This template provides learners with an opportunity to articulate the process of actively listening to their peers' ideas, reacting to these ideas, and - most importantly - how their own thinking has grown and deepened as a result.
Use this tool to promote peer-to-peer accountability, to better access you more introverted learners, and to foster a Culture of Thinking and thoughtful listening in your classroom. Can be used in any discipline.
