Listening and auditory memory are key skill for students to practice. Help students to actively listen, remember details and draw or find pictures based to match what they hear
Students listen to an instruction within a themed picture scene and draw or find pictures that match the directions. At the end of the directions there should be one picture that has not been drawn on or found to show that the students have listened and eliminated all other pictures correctly (see prefer for examples of the difference between each product)
Directions for pictures vary and allow students to practice listening for a list of details (nouns, verbs and adjectives) to different complex sentences with many concepts such as 1st/2nd/3rd/4th etc. top/middle/bottom, right/left. Directions can be read once to test students auditory memory and receptive language skills or read with repetition if needed.
