The days of using generic listening center forms are over. Students need to be practicing standards taught during mini-lessons within all centers/stations. Your listening center/station is a perfect time for students to independently practice standards taught.
Students need to be hearing and reading the common core language while learning and working. The same vocabulary we use while teaching, students need to read in questions as well. These listening forms are set up more in a graphic organizer style to help students practice specific parts of each common core standard.
I created these specifically to encourage higher levels of thinking and applying newly acquired knowledge through my listening center/station. Matching the level of rigor in my centers/stations to what I am doing in whole group and small group is a priority. It is also extremely important that the language and vocabulary match throughout my room.
These forms cover all of the 1st and 2nd Grades Reading Literature and Reading Information Text standards.
Just print and use alongside of the standard(s) you are currently working on in class. Match up the text and you are ready to go.
