Hello! Thank you for looking at ‘Listen to the Directions and Help Joelle and Jason Organize Their Winter Clothing’ – A Language Lesson Designed to Develop Auditory Processing and Comprehension Skills by Following Directions, Sentence Repetition, Identifying Items Through Descriptions and Vocabulary Development Around a Winter Clothing Theme!
*********Directions for differentiated instruction are provided in the directions.
In this lesson, the students are required to listen to information stated by particular characters and restate what the characters said to develop morpho-syntactic sentence production. In addition, directions containing spatial concepts to place manipulative pieces to complete two scenes are provided to complete the directives.
There are 18 items in the activity that the students need to complete to place into one of the two scenes. In order to do such, students must listen to descriptions and determine what is being described. Then the students are read a sentence that is stated by one of the characters to develop sentence repetition skills and finally, the students must complete directions in the activity that contain a variety of linguistic concepts. Once they have filled up the entire two pages, they can take the pages or file folder home to share and review with parents.
Parent note with description of the activity and pictures of how the activity will look completed are included.
