Enjoy this fun lesson that incorporates singing, rhythm, instruments, melody, composition and form while addressing your Orff and Kodaly curriculum.
A perfect song to teach to your elementary music students anytime! Reading and playing rhythmic patterns consisting of quarter notes, quarter rests, 2 eighth notes beamed (ti-ti) and 4 sixteenth notes beamed (tiri-tiri) is addressed. Since the song utilizes Do Re Mi (Sol La) there is a lesson that will review reading the notes. Even if you are not working on DRM the lessons are still packed with engaging activities. Adaptations and extensions are also addressed. Your students will love the activities included in the lesson plan and the PowerPoint.
The set of Lesson Plans and PowerPoint interactive slides include:
• 6 lessons each 10-20 minutes (5 pdf pages) plus an original song with Orff orchestration. The lesson plans include detailed instructions for teaching the song, rhythmic activities, instruments and small group composition with second or third grade. Adaptions and extensions are addressed.
• 11 slides created with PowerPoint 2010 (with 3 slides being teacher and/or student interactive) may be used to reinforce rhythmic and melodic reading. You will have everything you need to teach all the lessons. PowerPoints work very well with Smartboards - just touch the board to activate the sound effects and the animations.
It is an excellent piece to address curricular concepts while enjoying making music.
