PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A very fun way to teach Elementary Music Standards 3 and 6.

Let your kindergarten and first grade students pretend to be knives, forks and spoons as they demonstrate the different sections in this fun piece of music, March Past of the Kitchen Utensils by Ralph Vaughn Williams (a shorter version is also found in the MacMillan Share the Music series - ABACABA).

Children will march and skip to show the even and uneven beats and the patterns they hear.

Lesson plans and assessments are included.

Another great benefit to this activity is that it contains directions for how to use it in online portfolio evaluations. Several states are requiring related arts teachers to submit video showing progress. This activity can be done with students showing comprehension, progress, and retention in just two lessons!
