If you utilize Whole-Body Listening in your classroom, this visual can be used to track progress and success.
Parts of listening included in this chart: eyes, ears, mouth, hands, and feet.
To be used with students who struggle with one component of listening and need to progress to combining components of listening.
Place chart of targeted component on student’s desk (i.e. eyes). When the student is observed using that component, instructor can place a “star” on the chart. Once the student has successfully filled his or her chart, additional components can be added, working up to the complete chart.
