It costs nothing, yet can give us a wealth of information, inspiration, and lead us in amazing directions. What is it? Listening.
To students, it may not yet be recognized as an important skill, but it is one they should practice as success awaits when they learn the art of listening.
In this activity, a speaker and a listener pair up to achieve a desired outcome. The listener must carefully hear what the speaker says in order to draw a duplicate image of shapes.
In this lesson you get:
-explanation of the activity
-a 1 minute 'indoor voice' activity to practice before starting
-step-by-step directions (each having suggested time limits) helping students to
achieve the desired results
-worksheet to draw the image (and answer a question related to the activity)
-three pictures with 7 shapes
-three pictures with 5 shapes (for those who need a revised lesson)
