PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Engage and assess what your students hear in a fun, creative and artistic way as you study about (and play) the following songs written by Aaron Copland: "Buckaroo's Holiday" and "Hoedown" from Rodeo, Lincoln Portrait and Fanfare for the Common Man.
Use these scenic listening glyphs to enhance for your students what Copland's music was all about. Play a recording (not included) and have your students follow the color codes key to assess what they hear. Editable glyphs in PowerPoint are now included for your older students. They contain 6-7 musical elements for your students to listen to and YOU determine which elements!:)

Items assessed in this set include:
"Buckaroo's Holiday"
♬ Brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion, syncopation, tempo changing, mood, trombone, trumpet, clarinet, bassoon, and slapstick

"Hoedown"
♬ Brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion, trumpet, trombone; glyphs featuring only percussion section instruments - woodblock, piano, triangle, xylophone, snare drum, cymbal

Lincoln Portrait (glyphs designed to use with only the last 7 minutes of the piece - beginning at narration)
