This packet contains several worksheets to use for an accountability piece at a listening station. These worksheets are tied to the reading comprehension strategies that are included as a free product at my store. I would use these as an extension during the listening station, where students could practice using these strategies independently. Students would have to complete just one worksheet every time they went. When finished, they would set it aside and continue to listen to other books for enjoyment. Once stations were over, or it was time to switch, then students would turn in their listening station worksheet. It worked very well since students knew procedures and what was expected of them. Plus, it was a great way to assess if each student knew how to purposefully use reading strategies independently. If not, I would use this feedback and focus in more during students' guided reading group.
Within these packet are differentiated worksheets that are available. Some require students to just draw a picture, some require writing and a picture, and some require all writing. I have included these options depending on where and what students can do independently.
This listening packet is ENGAGING because students love to show and tell what they have learned or what is new to them when reading books. These worksheets allow for simple assessment, therefore giving the teacher yet another tool as to where each student is and where to take them when it comes to reading comprehension.
**These are for personal use only. If you do put these on a webpage and/or blog, you need to give credit somewhere on your page. Also, a link to re-direct viewers back to my store is necessary as well:
