This resource includes 48 different list prompts for you to use with your developing writers. One generic list is included for each month, as well as topical and seasonal lists. Prompts are included for holidays, but include generic options as well.
I teach my students how to make a list at the beginning of the year during whole group writer’s workshop. We discuss using classroom resources to help us spell, as well as sounding out words we do not know. We also discuss that our picture should match our writing. My students love creating lists and this becomes a staple in our writing center. This resource is designed so that you do not have to think about creating new topics for your writing center each month. You could also pull a list to use in conjunction with a read-aloud, special event, or with a small group for extra practice. Put multiple list options together to make a journal.
I hope this resource makes your planning easier!
