PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students start building sentences correctly while improving reading fluency and their writing skills. Students gradually progress to building more complex sentences through the Literacy Activities (CCS Aligned) – Sentence Fixer Uppers - Packet # 2
(“Where?”, “When?”). I would definitely recommend purchasing both packets in this series as they work hand in hand, to help your students become better writers and readers. First Packet lays the foundation while the next one builds on it and further addresses important academic skills and concepts.

This product includes:
20 writing/reading activities/worksheets focused on building sentences while learning about “Who?” and/or “What?” does the action.
One additional writing page for early finishers, students who need more room for writing and/ or used as a tool for differentiation.
Each activity has one incomplete sentence and six choices to complete it. The six choices include both images and words thus being appropriate for all students from remedial, benchmark and above benchmark/higher skill level.
Students make six different sentences using the choices provided, read them and write one of them and/or all of them based on the skill level, time frame, etc.
Suggestion: Students cut all six words/pictures and staple them (with your assistance) at the top thus creating a miniature book. Glue only the bottom picture/word thus being able to flip through all 6 choices while reading the 6 different sentences. Another idea is to save the additional pictures/words in a small Ziploc bag)
The activities help students:
• Improve writing skills.
• Develop and use correct sentences in both oral and written language.
• Improve reading fluency.
• Use proper letter formation, correct finger spacing, and punctuation.
• Understand the difference between singular and plural nouns (ex: the clown is…/the horses are…) and the correct usage of the 3rd person singular (ex: he/she/it likes, makes, etc).
• Learn the following color words: green, black, brown, red, yellow, and blue.
• Correctly use many sight words.
This is a great way to help your students improve their writing and reading skills and I highly recommend it for Kindergarten, 1st grade, remedial 2nd and as a useful teaching tool for Resource Professionals.

"Earn TpT Credits for purchases on TpT. You get one TpT Credit for every $ you spend on TpT. Thing is, you only get the Credits after you Provide Feedback -- both a fair rating and a fair comment -- on the items that you purchase. We will round up for you, too! If you provide fair feedback on a $4.75 item, you will earn 5 credits. Every 100 Credits is worth $5 that you can apply towards future TpT purchases, but there is no need to wait until you have 100 to redeem them. 50 credits is worth $2.50, for example.
How to Redeem TpT Credits
You can keep track of how many credits you have accrued here or on the top of the site after login.
