These sheets are meant to accompany the use of magnetic letters. These are GREAT for literacy centers (or intervention, assessment, practice, etc.) that are ready in a snap for you each week! My kinders love them.
These pages work great specifically for PreK-2 students who are learning their pre-primer words and short A, E, I, O, and U CVC words. The pre-primer word sheets have the words separated into increasing difficulty to help your students learn best. For the CVC words, I believe using magnetic letters is specially great for teaching students to manipulate the beginning sounds of words and learn about the word families.
Each sheet has 5 words, and I set up the pages so on each sheet of paper there are two sheets (you just print then cut them in half) because I'm a little bit of a tree-hugger :) They have to build the word, color it in or trace it, then read the word. Children love this activity because it gives them a chance to be "readers" while having fun.
