Product Description
Teaching direct and indirect characterization can be a challenge, especially when students need lots of practice identifying examples. I created this game to use with my students to give them lots of practice using examples from real literature that they read, such as Jerry Spinelli's Wringer, Karen Hesse's Out of the Dust, and Christopher Paul Curtis's The Watsons Go to Birmingham! Students practice identifying examples of direct or indirect characterization while playing a game with their team members! The zip file comes with a Word document for the game cards and directions, and a PDF of the game board.
