Do your students often get bored with the writing center? I know mine have in the past! I have designed this product to be fun, engaging, and full of choices!! Below I have listed all of the writing centers that come in this pack.
These centers stay the same each month for consistency: (The questions, prompts, and themes change for the month, but it is the same kind of center.)
*Writing Keywords-this is a front and back sheet of possible words that students might need to know how to spell for the November writing center! There are pictures included with the words.
*Write the Room-this activity could be hung around the room for the month and students could pick from the prompts, or hole punch and ring together!
*Build and Write-this activity is for students to be able to design and build a specific item. After the student is done building, he or she will write about the design.
*Writing Prompt Board-this is a single sheet of paper with 9 different writing prompts on it. Students could grab a board and write about one of the topics.
*Would You Rather-this activity gives students the ability to pick one of two choices and to write about it.
*Letter Writing-there are different themed writing sheets for your students to use. Students can write to family, friends, teachers, etc...
These 2 centers change each month to add some new excitement for the month: (Every month there are two brand new centers to introduce to your students.)
*Thank You Notes-students will get a chance to write personal thank you notes to all staff members who have positively impacted their school year. There are 3 different designs and 2 blank cards as well. A fun way for students to show gratitude!
*End of the Year Memory Brochure-students will fill out a brochure showcasing memories from the school year. This is a great product to send home to highlight all of the fun students have had this school year.
These centers are the exact same and included in every month (in case someone only buys one month).
*Book Reflection-this is for your students that love to read! Students can write about a favorite book or one that he or she has just finished!
*Comic Strip Writing-there are two different comic strip formats. Students can have fun designing some cute cartoons!
*Class Writing Journals-these journal prompts can be glued to the front of a notebook and placed in a basket for the year. Students can take turns answering different prompts in different notebooks. Students can read what classmates have wrote as well!
*Extra Writing Paper-there are a few different extra writing paper samples included as well.
In this pack, I have tried to include a black/white and colored copy for most activities. I have also tried to include the double lined paper and regular lined paper to suit whatever needs you may have!
I hope your students will enjoy these centers!
