April Center Literacy Games: Print, laminate and cut all cards and pieces to the center
Bunny Make A Word Game: Students insert vowel eggs onto line on the word cards and make words. Words to make include single consonant, and beginning and ending blends. Students can write words on white boards or paper. They may also use the Make A Word worksheets included in the resource.
April Roll It! Read It Short Vowel Sounds: Two game cards with words for Short Vowel Sounds of a, e, i, o & u; Students roll one dice and read the words or sentences in the row they have rolled.
Ladybug Real & Nonsense Words: Children place cards face down and take turns drawing a card. Student reads words and decides whether it is a real word or nonsense words. Child checks with partner or group to make sure he/she is accurate. Child writes or places words on t-chart on white board or use sheet provided in this resource (each student may have a sheet or you could use one sheet for the whole game). The next person takes a turn. Play until all cards have been used.
Earth Sight Word Game(s): Children place cards face down and take turns drawing a card. If student can read the word, they keep it, if they cannot they must put it back. If they draw a Cloud or Sun Card follow its directions They must read all their cards, the person who has the most cards wins. Memory Game: Make two sets of the word cards and children place the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they have matched the same words. If it does they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game!

Eggs Ten Frame Match : Use these ten frame mats with students to help them with their one-to-one correspondence, counting skills and ten frame use. Print and laminate the cards so students can place the correct number of eggs on the ten frames that corresponds with the numeral on the page and also practice writing the numerals with markers. The egg template are provided, but you may use any manipulate you want.
Monster Number Roll: One Die--Taking turns, children roll 1 die and cover or color a monster in the square above that number of dots. The first person to reach the top of any column wins the game! There is a black and white page for copying. Two Dice--Taking turns, children roll 2 dice and cover or color a monster in the square above that number of dots. Earth Day Greater Than, Less Than or Equal Clip Game: Children place a paper clip or clothes pin to the correct answer of what symbol: greater than , less than or equal to is correct. Numbers 0-100 are included. Note: Put a little sticker on the back of card in the correct answer space so students can self-correct their answers.
