February Center Literacy Games: Print, laminate and cut all cards and pieces to the center
Heart Rhyming Word Match Game: Print & Laminate all Cards. Memory Game: Children place the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they have matched two rhyming words and the cards fit together. If it does they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game. Match Game: Children can play in partners or by self matching the two rhyming words on the cards.
Hearts Roll It! Read It! : Print & Laminate all Cards., There are 5 short vowel word cards and 5 sight word cards. Roll one die & count your dots. Read the word list that corresponds with the number that you roll.
Presidents Real & Nonsense Words Directions: Children place cards face down and take turns drawing a card. Student reads words and decides whether it is a real word or nonsense words. Child checks with partner or group to make sure he/she is accurate. Child writes words on t-chart on white board or use sheet provided in this resource (each student may have a sheet or you could use one sheet for the whole game). The next person takes a turn. Play until all cards have been used.
Presidents Make a Word Game: Children take the flag heart (consonant & consonant blends are provided) and put it in front of a word chunk president to make a word. Children can write word on paper or white board or use one of the 8 worksheets to go with this activity.

Heart & Monster Love Roll & Bump Game: : Roll two or three number cubes and add those numbers. Cover that space with your marker. You can bump your partner’s color and take their space! If you cover a space with two markers stacked on top of each other, you lock that space and can’t be bumped. The player to use all ten of their markers first is the winner!
Monster Love Ten Frame Roll and Cover: Print & Laminate all Cards Choose a Love Monster and who will roll first. Roll one die and count your dots. Place that many counters on your ten frame . Continue taking turns rolling and placing your counters. The first person who cover both their ten frames wins!
President More, Less , or Equal Clip Game: Children place a paper clip or clothes pin to the correct answer; more than, less than or equal to. Note: Put a little sticker on the back of card in the correct answer space so students can self-correct their answers.
President Roll & Cover: (2 different games): One Dice Roll: Roll one die and count your dots. Cover the number of dots you rolled with your marker. Two players will need to use two different colors. Covering the most numbers wins!
