Who Took the Cookies from the Cookie Jar? is one of my favorite songs to use in the beginning of the school year (or anytime)! Use the resources in this fun packet for name practice, fine motor centers, math centers, literacy centers, and super simple craftivity to display in the hallway! This craft is a perfect introduction to using scissors and glue in early childhood classrooms. Download the preview for a FREE sheet of fine motor tracing cards!

Here's what's included...
Pages 2 - 6: Student name activity: Copy the alphabet sheets and cut apart the letters. Provide students with a blank copy of the jar and a bowl full of letters. Allow students to find the letters in their name to glue inside the jar. Or, allow students to glue random letters in their cookie jar.
Pages 7-8: ABC tracing sheets
Pages 9-14: Fine motor tracing cards: Print and laminate these cards. Provide students with dry erase markers to trace the dotted lines.
Pages 10 – 12: Cookie Bingo: I love bingo for teaching turn taking and patience. Print and laminate the bingo cards and calling cards (print multiple copies of the bingo cards depending on the size of your class). When a student fills up all four pictures on his/her card, they win! I like to play until all students have won.
Pages 18 – 21: Math Center: Print and laminate the cards. Allow students to match the jar and cookie cards. Or, print two copies to play a matching game.
Pages 22 – 25: Pocket Chart Cards and Song Sheet: I love to sing this song with my class to practice using our names!
Pages 26 – 30: Blank cookies for writing names (color and b/w).
Pages 31 – 38: Roll and Cover Counting Game (color and b/w). Use dice or a spinner to fill up your cookie jar.
Pages 39 – 45: Cookie counting student reader
Pages 46 – 57: Cookie craftivity, perfect for
students just beginning to use scissors and
glue. Patterns, directions, and bulletin
Board titles include (color and b/w)
Page 58: Student certificate to celebrate a
fun week in school!
