This can be used for all your students, a small group, or one student. I currently use it for 2 students who are higher readers who go to a different classroom for small group reading. When they return to our classroom, instead of them moving through our stations at our pace/rotation, I have them more independent. It helps them get a variety, stay on task, yet feel empowered and independent. They mark off squares they complete. Typically I give them a fresh one at the start of each week or as needed if sooner.
