About this resource:
Don't Break the Chain Jr. is a fun activity adapted from my Don’t Break the Chain activities that my students love. Students will receive a “Don’t Break the Chain Jr.” mat and a sheet of tiles. There are 9 tiles each with a problem that needs to be solved and at the top of each box is a rectangle with an answer in it.
Students must first cut out all 9 tiles before beginning. The activity begins with the box that is filled on the Don’t Break the Chain Jr mat. Once they solve the problem in the box on the mat, they must find the next problem to solve by locating the tile with the corresponding correct answer in the rectangle. Once they find their next problem, they complete that one, then repeat the process until all 10 problems have been completed. If they correctly solve all of their problems, their answers will loop back around to the answer in the starting box. It is a great way to self-check!
2 complete puzzles are included, both solving literal equations. One puzzle is more rigorous than the other.
