Given literal equations, students will practice solving for a specified variable on the sketch notes and in the activity.
Sketch and doodle notes allow for students to stay focused, grasp new concepts and retain information. Students can add their own creativity to the lesson. Using different colors is suggested.
In the activity, students are allowed to "Pick the Points" that they want to complete. Students will choose problems from the point cards to earn a total of at least 50 points. There are three different levels of cards ~ 5 point cards, 10 point cards, and 15 point cards. There are a total of 12 problems. This "Pick the Points" activity allows for differentiation through the selection of points completed by the student.
