PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Teaching literary analysis using television shows is one of my favorite activities to do in class. I also use this for tutoring. The students love being able to have a TV show day in class. I don’t know about you, but in order to get approval for a video, we have to provide an extensive lesson plan to go along with it. This lesson provides exactly what you will need .

I have used this product to teach the importance of understanding point of view. This episode is a perfect example of bias in narrator. I also use this teach inferences and character analysis.

In order to use this product you will need to obtain a copy of Everybody Loves Raymond ® Season 4, episode 2 “The Can Opener.” It is easily and inexpensively obtained from Amazon Streaming Video for approximately $2. You might also check other video streaming services.

Please use your best judgement about the appropriateness of this episode for your students. Please watch the entire episode prior to showing it to your students.

Everybody Loves Raymond ® is property of Worldwide Pants Incorporated.
