Product Description
A single-sided document that compels students to thoroughly examine a single character (or two, if you print a double-sided doc) in a work of fiction. Students will address the following items on the worksheet:

-title of work
-full name of character selected or assigned
-age of character
-check boxes for flat or round
-check boxes for static or dynamic
-check boxes for protagonist or antagonist
-a brief summary of the character
-"the single best quote by or about the character"
-internal conflict
-external conflict
-defining moment/epiphanies
-character motivations
-3 character traits + textual support

I use this form with both my 9th grade College Prep students and my 12th grade AP Literature and Composition kids, so it's use is appropriate for both lower level and higher level students. Adaptable to any work of fiction.

Requires prior knowledge of the following literary devices: flat character, round character, static character, dynamic character, protagonist, antagonist, internal and external conflict, epiphany, motivation.
