Attached is a full INTRODUCTORY lesson for CONFLICT in literature. Aligns with VA SOL's for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English. Conflict is defined, associated with certain parts of the plot, and then examples of both internal and external conflict are provided. Students could them create their OWN examples from literature/movies/TV as discussion while the information was presented. At the end are 5 questions: 3 are multiple-choice; 2 are multiple-answer or justification questions. A "key" is attached, too. Then move into finding conflicts in your own piece of authentic literature, if desired...
