This brief unit introduces students to the concept of Literary Criticism. The forms of criticism included here are Historical, Reader Response, Marxist, African American, and Feminist. These concepts can be applied to almost any literary work. You'll find yourself referring to these terms throughout the school year. I use this with my juniors as we read The Crucible, The Great Gatsby, and Huck Finn.
