This two-page graphic organizer is designed to provide a quick review of the literary devices commonly found in British Literature. It includes a variety of quotations from British writers including Shakespeare, Chaucer, and Donne and a list of literary devices such as allusion, apostrophe, kenning, and hyperbole. The activity requires students to identify and justify the literary devices in the quotations in the graphic organizer. This assignment is easily modified for more or less advanced students, and it is expandable. The answer key is located on the third page.
