A few years ago, I had a group of students that could not handle the excitement of my preferred review games—Jeopardy!, trashketball, and board races—but I still wanted to provide them with opportunities to review. That’s when I started using BINGO to review. This is a good review strategy for terms and vocabulary, and it keeps students calm. Plus, my students almost always love to play BINGO. For prizes, I use homework passes and candy. For tokens, I’ve used different objects: fruit snacks, paper tabs, and sticky notes. This is also a great game to leave with subs. When I leave this game with subs, I cut apart the tiles on the next page and leave them in an envelope. I’ve included 30 cards, so students can play multiple cards, or students can switch cards as they play. I can’t wait to hear how you use this review game in your classrooms. I hope your students have as much fun with it as mine have!
