Students will work as a group to complete this project. The group will create a board game for 1 to 4 players. The content of the game will come from the literature students are reading in class. This project can be a culminating assignment for literature circles.
The project helps to build students’ reading, writing, and critical thinking skills through collaboration with peers. Students will use various close reading and analysis techniques such as highlighting, asking questions, and comparing texts. The project will also help foster students’ understanding of the research process and facilitate opportunities for students to read a wide array of texts across genres.
