Students are divided into small groups and asked to search literature and texts placed around the room to find all of the literary devices and structures on this form. I like to use poetry books, nonfiction, fiction, cookbooks, other how-to books, magazines etc. and position them at centers around the room then have students rotate as a group when a timer goes off. The students really enjoy this activity and it helps them learn to work as team as well as reinforce understanding of literary devices and structures. This is a Word document so it could be easily modified for your purposes. Groups can share their findings with others at the end of the treasure hunt.
