There is a lot of vocabulary involved in literary elements and these foldable notes are perfect for introducing it and providing a reference for later. My students really enjoy using foldables to take notes, but digital / distance learning makes this difficult. This digital reference book does a great job of filling in the gap. This slide deck has 18 different literary elements listed in a table of contents. Each then has its own slide that allows students to type in a definition and an example or question answered by the element. The literary elements listed in the table of contents are hyperlinked to the specific slides, and each specific slide has a button to "close the element" and return to the table of contents. The final slide is an answer key.
To use the resource, make a copy for each student, giving them editing rights. Students will have to leave the slide deck in editing mode in order to enter text. Once the text is complete, students can use the reference book in edit mode, present mode, or publish it to the web.
For a paper version of this resource (includes definitions and examples for students to cut and paste) see Literary Elements Foldable Notes.
