PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a story prompt based on literary non-fiction knowledge. It asks readers to think about Harriet Tubman, Anne Frank, and The Greensboro Four - all people who broke laws in their given times. Prompt then asks students to think of a time when they feel breaking the law would be appropriate.

Learners then write a one page story centered around the conflict of breaking a law when their main character feels it's appropriate.

Use this prompt as a journal writing, a short think through writing center in class, or pair it with the literary non-fiction pieces discussed. It always gets the conversation going.
