PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Use sentences from literature that you read to your class to introduce grammar. Each week (24 weeks) charts out skills, shows mentor sentences (feel free to make substitutions from the books that you are reading), and points to make or suggestions to put the skill to use. I start by asking students what they notice about the sentences. Encourage students to notice similar uses in their reading and their own writing. Let me know if you would prefer a Word document to make substituting sentences easy. Developed by Penny Gardner for use in grades 1-3.
