This easy-to-use packet has 5 jobs that align to CCSS, a cover that allows students to keep track of assignments, and a list of higher order discussion questions.
I try to map out books for literature circles to meet 5 times for each book. That way each time the circle meets, students have done a different job - practicing different skills throughout the book.
This packet includes:
*Envisioning Master - practing the skill of envisioning detailed scenes while reading.
*Wold-Solving Leader - practicing world-solving strategies to troubleshoot tricky words.
*Text-to-Text Connector - making connections to other books they have read. This also allows them to compare characters across books.
Text-to-Self Connector - making personal connections to their own world. This job allows students to relate literature to their life.
Character captain - this job is all about identifying a strong character trait and providing two examples that support the trait.
