This packet contains role sheets for nine different roles that can be used in literature circles. These roles can be used to facilitate discussion and almost all can be used with either fiction or nonfiction readings.
The roles include:
Questioner (also in charge of leading discussion)
Reporter (in charge of summarizing)
Connection builder (text-to-text, text-to-self, and text-to-world)
Recorder (in charge of accountability)
Literature circles help facilitate student-led discussion, increase comprehension, and let students interact with the text in different ways.
