One of my favorite teaching strategies is literature circles. They are an excellent way for students to begin interacting with the text on a deeper level than "It was good; I liked it." I know there are many different ways to use literature circles, but these handouts and the order work really well in my classroom. This folder has all the handouts you need to begin incorporating literature circles: expectations, meeting minutes, and the handouts for jobs for the higher grades: discussion director, connector, luminary, artist. There are seven handouts included.
